TOYOTA MR2

Description

The Toyota MR2 is a two seater, mid-engined sports car produced from 1984 until July 2007 going through three generations. The Mk2 is considered to be the prettiest and comes with a T-bar option and packs a 2 litre 150bhp engine. There are also a number of turbo versions around that were imported from Japan, which give significant gains in performance with 220bhp on tap, though we are not sure how being an import affects the price

Our Verdict

Good quality mk1's are commanding top prices these days though mk2's are still reasonably priced and even Mk3's getting mighty cheap too. A good example of an Mk2 should be had for about £2500, imports are harder to call as there are often issues regarding its history.
Watch out for rust around the sills, its a big problem with the Mk2 in particular.
