The Saab 900 is a compact luxury hatchback that was produced from 1978 until 1998 in two generations. The first generation from 1978 to 1993 is known as the "classic", the generation from 1994 to 1998 is known as the "new generation".

Considered the last true Saab, the 900 "classic" is now getting a fair bit of interest in the classic car world though there are still some decent buys to be had out there. The "new generation" suffers from being associated with GM.
